People who smile are more approachable and likeable. A smile can change your attitude and relieve you of a negative mindset. I once read on the inside of a chocolate wrapper that smiling before bed allows you to sleep better. Give it a try!
2. Take a Risk
Don’t be afraid to take a risk even if the result might not be what you expected. Life is full of learning lessons and those who choose to experience something new or seek change outside of their comfort zone see the greatest rewards.
3. Surround Yourself Around People That Bring Out The Best Version of You
Surround yourself with good quality people that support you, make you laugh, introduce you to new activities and most importantly love and appreciate you for who you are.
4. Eat Well, Live Well
A diet rich in whole foods will not only allow you to feel the best you can feel but your insides will thank you too! By eating nutrient dense foods like organic fruits and vegetables and less processed "convenient food" you not only will look good but you’ll feel good. If you eat well meaning high quality foods with high quality ingredients you’ll have more energy, feel better, look better and live a higher quality of life for the short and long term.
5. Go Outside and Play
Humans are naturally adventurous beings. We are not designed to be sedentary. Make time to be with nature and connect with your body through movement. There really is no excuse! If you have kids, take them to the park and play with them instead of watching them play, if you have a dog take it for a walk and if it’s just you, well you really have nothing holding you back! You’ve got to hold yourself accountable for daily movement and that doesn't have to mean going to your local gym and getting your butt kicked by the boot camp instructor. Listen to your body and move from there. A walk outside can keep the joints mobile and get the blood flowing while still increasing the heart rate.
