Sick of sour and bitter green smoothies? So are we. Give this a try:
-1 small avocado, chopped
-1/2 cup leafy greens (kale, spinach, chard, or a combination)
-1/4 cup blueberries
-3/4 cup milk of choice (almond, coconut or soy work best)
-1 Tbs coconut oil
-1 Tbs honey
-1/4 Tsp ginger (1/8 tsp if fresh grated)
-1/4 Tsp cinnamon
-Place avocado, greens and blueberries in blender. Pour milk of choice on top and blend until smooth.
-Microwave coconut oil until it becomes liquid. Add the coconut oil and honey to the smoothie and blend for another 10 seconds.
-Add the cinnamon and ginger and blend until combined.
